PC Engine LT

Released in Japan in 1992, 2 years after the release of the PC Engine GT, the PC Engine LT was another NEC device which let you play PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16) games.

This handheld had a much bigger screen than it’s predecessor, boasting a 4 inch screen instead of only 2.6 inches. This made games much more enjoyable to play. Many people believe the design of the LT resembled a laptop in many ways however it always reminds me of the GameBoy Pocket (which flipped down in the exact same manner). The HuCards were inputting into a slot at the front of the device, between the D-Pad and buttons.

According to an old article on Retro Treasures, the LT is extremely rare and sometimes sells for a few thousand dollars.
